Siegel Capital is
an active participant in Vet -Fran, the International Franchising
Association's program supporting the nation's veterans. Siegel
Capital waives its packaging fee of $1,000 for veterans who
want to start or exapnd a small business. Through Vet-Fran,
Siegel Capital has helped more than 30 veterans secure SBA
financing.
Bernard Siegel currently serves as Treasurer of the Golden
Slipper Club and Charities from June 1, 2007. Golden Slipper
Club's current philanthropic activities include: (i) Operating
Golden Slipper Camp with three-and-a-half-week residential
camp sessions for children, ages 7-15, from families with
low and moderate incomes - families who normally couldn't
afford summer camp; (ii) the Golden Slipper Center for Seniors
provides camaraderie, a hot meal, and activities for independent
seniors; (iii) a Scholarship Fund for college students; and
(iv) The Human Needs and Services Committee (HUNAS) provides
up to $500 in emergency assistance to families or individuals.
Ron Feldman also is a volunteer for Golden Slipper Club and
Charities, currently serving on the Board of Trustees. Ron
Feldman is currently the President of Old York Road Temple – Beth
Am, a reform synagogue founded in 1946 and located in the
Northeastern suburbs of Philadelphia. |
